A Cleveland cultural and historical jewel…Lake View Cemetery, in its nearly 150 years, is the eternal residence of some of the most famous people in the world, and also many ordinary folks who were important to their families, friends and our community.

Lake View Cemetery is open to the public, free of admission charge, every day throughout the year. For special events, tours and lectures, there may be a charge. Summer hours: 7:30am-7:30pm through September.

Lake View is noted for its “Rural Garden" cemetery presence, over its 285 acres. More than 108,000 rest here, including the famous, such as John D. Rockefeller, President James A. Garfield, Marcus Hanna, Frances Payne Bolton, Jeptha Wade, Adella Prentiss Hughes, Eliot Ness, Garrett Morgan, and Alan Freed, but also everyday folks of every ethnicity, religion and persuasion. 

Lake View is a place for everyone - and always has been. And over the next 100 years, the cemetery, as large as it is, has space for 100,000 more residents.
